Journalists need new tools to work online. I started building this online database of such tools as a personal project, just a way to keep track of everything I was using. It has since grown into something I intend to launch publicly at some point.

TwitBlog
Status: Almost done.

TwitBlog (working title) gathers tweets based on search parameters and orders them chronologically so they can be easily inserted into a blog post. It uses the Twitter Search API to do all the heavy lifting and parses the resulting ATOM feed.

This is a prototype timeline application I'm building for a potential employer. This version uses a simple Django back end (relying on the bundled admin app) that feeds into a Simile widget to organizes events.
The timeline pulls data from an XML feed generated from a generic object_list view.

Bookmarks allows logged in users to save objects within a site. It uses Django's generic relations convention and requires user registration of some kind.
This application grew out of my toolkit project and is on its way (slowly) to becoming a full-fledged standalone app.
